Takeshi's CastleTakeshi's Castle, is a Japanese game show that aired between 1986 and 1989 on the Tokyo Broadcasting System. It featured the Japanese actor Takeshi Kitano (also known as Beat Takeshi) as a count who owns a castle and sets up difficult challenges for players (or a volunteer army) to get to him. The show has become a cult television hit around the world. A special live "revival" was broadcast on April 2, 2005, for TBS's 50th anniversary celebrations.
Ang Yaman ni Lola
Ang Yaman ni Lola (lit. Grandma's Treasure) is a weekday Comedy-Reality show and aired over GMA Network and produced by GMA News and Public Affairs. It is the counterpart of ABS-CBN's noontime variety show Pilipinas Win Na Win. The show features Nanette Inventor as Lola Barbie, a rich and generous old widow who shares her wealth by hiring workers every week. The workers are real people from different professions chosen via audition. Every week, new challenges will be given by Lola Barbie and the most efficient worker of the week will receive P100,000. The show premiered on August 23, 2010 and officially ended on January 7, 2011.
BATIBOTBatibot is a children's television program from the Philippines, based on Sesame Street. Premiering in 1984, with the name Sesame!, and eventually renamed Batibotseveral years later. Batibot in Filipino means "small, but strong and robust". As Sesame!, the program used both English and Filipino as the media of communication, but after evolving into Batibot, the show became a completely Filipino language children's educational show.
